I am a West Australian guy, married to Catherine Haydon. Our first child is due on 1 March 2012, so exciting times are just around the corner.
I run a number of websites, particularly SEO Perth, which is a vehicle for helping people with their online marketing, whether that be designing and setting up a website, doing search engine optimisation & marketing or helping them understand and setup social media campaigns.
I have been involved in internet marketing since 2003. I have had success with adwords affiliate promotion, the old “adsense game”, SEO & website design joint ventures and other online business models and have been a member of several exclusive and well known SEO, SEM and Web 2.0 training centers for a number of years.
For recreation & fitness, I play soccer (indoor and outdoor) with my family and friends. Our indoor soccer team is BXVI (pronounced “bee 16″) and we’ve won all but two of the last 10 grand finals we’ve played in across two sports centres. We’d move to a tougher competition, but we can’t find any (and yes, we’ve tried! lol).
I have a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History), both from the University of Notre Dame. I practiced law for several years until I left that to run my own businesses.
My goal is to help people live a better quality of life. This site (MikeHaydon.com) exists to share my thoughts around finances, investing, time management, business development, networking and motivation. Hopefully it assists you in some way. If so, I’d love to hear it!
