In the last post, I mentioned that Mike Russ and Monty was sandboxed. This has not been the case for a while. Yes I admit I was working on other projects and forgot to update this blog.

As to how the sand boxing was overturned: I did nothing. Literally. I just left it alone and noticed a couple of weeks later that I was back at #1 for World Cheese Toast Champions. I guess it stopped taking my linking structure and only looked at the on page factors.

I have gone back to picking up the linking campaign. It is by no means aggressive. I aim to add just 5 new links per week.

One thing to check when you are doing link building is whether you are getting any Search Engine value for the links. Check to make sure they haven’t put the text

rel=”nofollow”

in the < a > tag. Make sure you aren’t linked to using javascript.

Other than that, you should be getting value. If the link partner is not playing fair and has nofollowed either the links page or the individual link, either write to them and ask them to change it, take your link to them down, or nofollow your link to them. Don’t feel you have to be nice to them, when they are doing the dirty on you.
