Photo Dropper – Wordpress Plugin Review

by Mike Haydon on 27 April 2008

I’m always on the lookout for plugins that will benefit my wordpress blogs. I noticed recently that I don’t have much color on this blog and wanted to spice it up.

I found Photo Dropper, which allows you to easily search for and add creative commons licensed photos.

At the time of writing, I am running Wordpress 2.5.1 and this plugin works for me. I recommend it.

On the Settings Page for the Photo Dropper plugin, it gives you the option to put in code to wrap the image with. I recommend adding:

<div style=”float:left;padding:3px;”>

to the “Insert Before” and:

</div>

to the “Insert After”.

You can change “left” to “right” or “center”. The purpose of doing this is so that your text wraps around the picture.

I just have to go and figure out how to change the <a href=”"> tags to include rel=”nofollow”. I’ll let you know how I go :smile:
